Studio K was established the summer of 2018 by Makenzie McBride, a Master Esthetician with 7+ years of experience. Our goal at Studio K is to provide result driven treatments that are affordable yet effective.
Here at Studio K, we provide customized facial treatments to best fit your skin’s need. But that is not all! We also specialize in Lash Extensions, Microblading, Waxing, Laser Hair Removal, Salon Services and a variety of laser skin rejuvenation treatments, making this the stop for all your self-care needs.

Makenzie dealt with severe acne and scarring through high school and beyond. She decided to join the Esthetic industry in 2013 so she could help those with similar skin concerns. Because of her personal experience with acne she understands how a skin imperfection can really affect someone’s confidence and her goal is to make everyone that enters Studio K, leave feeling their very best.
Makenzie is a Master Esthetician with over 7 years of experience and has owned Studio K, previously Small Town Beauty, over 5 years now. She is excited for the continued growth of the studio for many more years ahead!

Bekah is our Master Waxer with over 9 years of industry experience!
She is a professionally trained speed waxer who has worked at multiple exclusive waxing salons from Southern California to Downtown Bellingham. She is so happy to bring her skills to Lynden where it's closer to home. Bekah is a perfectionist at making sure you have the best results possible. She aims to educate every guest on their hair and skin to ensure the best results after every wax. First time guests are some of her favorites and will make you feel comfortable right from the beginning and leave you rebooking your next appointment. You'll leave educated and with glowing skin! You can trust Bekah to provide a great service you'll be telling your friends about.
Lash Lifting, Brow Tinting, and custom Airbrush Tanning are also services she loves to offer in addition to Full Body Waxing Services.
In 2021, Bekah was also professionally trained and completed an apprenticeship in LA at MicrobladingLA where she fell in love with PMU services! She loves furthering her education and is almost always enrolled in a new course to expand her skills. She is 4x certified in various techniques of PMU. With 9+ years of being an esthetician she has found that enhancing natural beauty is a passion and loves helping clients have a low maintenance morning routine!

Cheryl got her start in the cosmetology industry in 2012. After finishing her schooling she apprenticed alongside the owner of a high end salon in Bellingham. That is where she would say she got the foundation of her education. Cheryl worked there, gaining a wonderful clientele and continuously keeping up to date with current trends and new techniques. She believes its very important to her career to keep herself enrolled in education! No matter what the class is, she says you can always learn something from someone.
After buying a house in Lynden, she has decided she loves it so much she wanted to move her business as well! When she’s not working you might find her playing with her dog Wylie and spending time with her friends and family.

Jennilyn loves working with curly and textured hair if all types. She loves the creativity that comes with approaching curly hair as a sculpture, creating a shape unique to each canvas of hair.
Bridal and event styling is her first love. She has been a stylist for the Bellingham Alive fashion issue several times as well as having her work featured on the 2022 cover of Pacific Coast Weddings.
Razor carved shags and all types of fringe as well as anything edgy, artsy or effortlessly cool hold a special place in her heart.
Outside of work she loves spending time with her family, watching her son grow up too fast and taking advantage of sunny summer days at the beach.
